Welcome to the TechEthos newsletter

In this edition, the spotlight is on the results of our multi-stage and multi-stakeholder methodology

Welcome, old and new readers! For our new readers, TechEthos is an EU-funded project that brings together a team of ten scientific partners and six science engagement organisations to work together on the ethics of new and emerging technologies.

Our overall goal is to produce ethics guidelines that enable the inclusion of ethical and societal values in the earliest phases of technology design and development.
This "ethics by design" approach will not only provide value for researchers and innovators, but also for related stakeholders such as research funding bodies, research ethics committees, and the future users of our three technology families: Climate Engineering, Neurotechnologies and Digital Extended Reality.

In this edition the spotlight is on the multi-stage and multi-stakeholder approach adopted by the project. Such methodology was key to consider diverse perspectives and determine cross-cutting ethical issues.

Read on to learn more about ALLEA's 2023 revised edition of the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity and mark your calendar for the TechEthos policy event exploring the ethical governance of emerging technologies for the digital and green transition!
